Obv.: Bust of Shapur I facing right; on his head a cap with ear-rings, on it a crown of masonry with a globe as the universe; curly beard; at the back a tuft of curled hair; on the neck a chain with a clasp; pearl rim. Rev.: Burning altar; on the sides stand a king and a priest, each holding a spear in one hand and resting the other on the hilt of a sword; in the left field, three balls (forming an inverted triangle); pearl rim.
