Lithuanian grosz on a Polish foot, Myszkowski, Stanislaw (?-1570); Sigismund II Augustus (King of Poland; 1544–1572). Polish coin, 1566. Obverse: Crowned male bust in armour turned right, separating the inscription in a half-circle at the top: SIGIS - AV; at the bottom horizontally in two lines: .POLO.MAG./.DVX.L. Reverse: Lithuanian Pogon (Pursuit) facing left, below a crown dividing the date 15 - 66; a monogram consisting of the letters SA and the Jastrzebiec coat of arms, which divide the rim inscription: MONETA.MAGNI.DVCA.LITV. Monograms: tied monogram SA. Diameter approx. 22.0–22.3 mm; weight 1.87 g. Grand Duchy of Lithuania; Tykocin; Jagiellon dynasty; iconography: royal/male busts, coats of arms.
