Sestertius of Hadrian (76–138; Roman emperor 117–138). Obverse: bust of Hadrian facing right with a laurel wreath; rim inscription IMPCAESARTRAIANH. Reverse: Minerva standing left, dressed in a long robe, wearing a helmet; in her right hand she holds incense/gift which she throws onto a candelabrum opposite her, in her left hand she holds a spear vertically; behind her a shield rests on her leg on which a snake is crawling; on both sides: SC; inscription at the bottom: PMT. Date: 121–122 CE. Roman Empire (27 BC–476). Coin, weight 26.80 g, axis 180 degrees.
