Subject: Theological Virtue Faith—personification with attributes such as chalices and hosts, crucifixes; figures with attributes; costumeology, jewellery, women's historical costumes., A detailed monochrome engraving shows a woman in profile facing right, wearing an ornate crown and a layered dress with puffed sleeves and decorative trim; her long curly hair cascades over her shoulders and she wears a beaded necklace and a decorative chain across her chest. She holds a vertical wooden beam with one hand near the top while a foot with a nail is affixed to the beam above; her other hand holds a small object wrapped in cloth near her waist. The background is filled with dense crosshatching. Visible colors are shades of black, gray, and off-white.
