Attached cheek guards hang down with embossed shapes and rivet-like marks, and a plume holder or crest mount is sketched beside the dome. The drawing uses shades of yellow, brown, tan, gray, and black for shading and outlines, with pencil sketch lines visible in the background and along the edges. The image is mounted on a lighter beige backing and there are faint additional pencil sketches near the top left.
