The central scene is enclosed within a large circular, scalloped frame that contains several shield-shaped heraldic panels around the perimeter, each with different emblematic designs. The composition is drawn in shades of black, gray, and sepia on a beige background, with fine linework and hatch shading creating depth and texture. The outer edges show a narrow border and there is decorative script along the top and bottom margins that is not described further. The overall appearance is of a careful pen-and-ink illustration with wash accents and detailed ornamental carving.
