Drawing on tracing paper glued over paper of similar dimensions, which is glued by the upper edge to cardboard. Drawn by Aleksander Lesser 1814–1884, 1830–1884. Kraków probable place of origin., A black ink line drawing on a light beige background shows a full-length figure of a crowned man standing on a carved base; he wears a long robe with buttons down the front, a belt, and a draped cloak, and he holds a spherical object in one hand and a staff in the other. The crown has decorative points, and there are sculpted lion heads near the shoulders; the figure’s face has closed or downcast eyes and a neutral expression. The base beneath the figure features carved animal forms with curled tails and scaled textures. The drawing uses black lines and shading on a cream or tan paper with faint hint of reddish ink marks near the top.
