Image dimensions: drawing 24.5 × 25.1 cm; backing 29.4 × 25.6 cm; cardboard 35.6 × 25.9 cm., A man and a woman stand side by side against a plain beige background, both wearing historical clothing and headwear; the man has curly brown hair and a full beard, a red robe with blue-gray puffed sleeves, a fur-trimmed hat in red and white, and a large ornate gold chain around his neck, with his left hand holding a red shield with a horizontal white band and his right hand raised palm-up; the woman wears a white headdress with gold dots, a purple shoulder cape over a patterned green-gold dress, a long gold necklace with a pendant, and rests her hands atop a red shield that features alternating horizontal white bands and a white eagle motif, with both figures rendered in muted tones of red, gold, purple, blue-gray, white, beige, brown, and green.
