Portrait of Michal Walicki, unknown author, pastelist; Michal Walicki 1746–1828 – male portrait, after 1800; pastel drawing; height 20 cm, width 16 cm., A framed, faded portrait of a person rendered in soft, muted tones, with a hazy oval face and indistinct features centered in the composition; the figure is surrounded by a diffuse background with blended areas of brown, gray, green, and warm ochre, and the face shows paler flesh tones with touches of reddish color at the mouth and subtle bluish highlights near the neck. The wooden frame is dark, worn black with scuffs and lighter worn patches, and there is a small aged paper label attached to the lower edge of the frame.
