The scene is rendered in dark ink lines on aged, off-white paper with visible foxing and a slightly darker border around the sheet. Several standing figures form a loose semicircle, including men in long coats and women in dresses and bonnets, with one larger, heavier-set man standing apart on the right. A seated person at the table appears to be reading or writing, while another seated figure faces them at the far left. Chairs with curved backs and a rectangular table with slender legs are visible. The figures display varied hairstyles and clothing details drawn with quick, sketchy strokes. The surrounding mount is a light tan color framing the drawing.
