The box is richly detailed with carved relief, a domed lid, and a base with small feet, rendered in gold tones with accents of blue and hints of purple and white highlights. Beside it, a vertical sculptural form resembling a hand or figurine stands in gold and bronze shades with small blue and white highlights and darker shadowed areas. The surface beneath the objects is a deep red cloth with darker and lighter variations, and the surrounding background is a very dark brown to black with some maroon and muted red areas. The painting is enclosed in a wooden frame with warm brown wood grain.
