sestertius; Alexander Severus Roman emperor, 222–235 — obverse: portrait; reverse: iconography with personifications including Annona personification; dated 228–231; Roman Empire 27 BC–476, struck in Rome; coin; diameter 28.5–30.0 mm; weight 21.21 g, A roughly circular, worn object with an irregular edge, predominantly dark brown to black in color with patches of lighter brown and small areas of reddish-brown; its surface shows a textured, mottled pattern with lighter, almost whitish streaks and thin veins, and a few shallow chips and indentations along the rim.
