Sestertius coin, posthumous issue for Faustina the Elder 98–141; Roman empress 138–141, issued under Antoninus Pius 86–161; Roman emperor 138–161. Obverse: bust of Faustina I draped, facing right, legend DIVA FAVSTINA. Reverse: Juno veiled and diademed, standing left, holding a patera in her outstretched right hand and a long scepter in her left; legend IV-NO around, in SC fields. After 141 CE, Roman Empire; Rome mint. Coin: diameter 32.0–34.0 mm, weight 21.55 g, axis 0°., A round dark brown metal coin with uneven edges showing a profile of a person's head facing right; the head has detailed hair and a small crown or headband, and the coin surface shows areas of darker and lighter brown patina with some subtle greenish spots and worn textures.
