Reverse: Bust of young Marcus Aurelius in cloak paludamentum, without headgear, right, legend AVRELIVS CAESAR AVG PII F COS around, below portrait SC. Date: 140–144. Roman Empire; Rome. Coin; diameter 32.5–34.0 mm; weight 21.15 g; axis 0°. Iconography: Antoninus Pius and Marcus Aurelius; heads portraits; paludamentums., A worn circular metal coin with a raised profile of a person's head facing right, showing curly hair and a partial suggestion of a neck and shoulders, all in shades of brown and dark bronze with areas of darker patina and lighter golden-brown highlights; the rim is slightly irregular and darker, and there are subtle surface scratches, a faint crack, and mottled spots of darker brown and greenish discoloration across the face of the coin.
