Obv.: IMPSEVALE XANDAVG Head of Alexander Severus right, wearing a laurel wreath, pearl rim. Rev.: ANNO NAAVG Annona stands turned right, resting her left leg on the bow of a ship, holding a rudder on a ball in her right hand and a modius with ears of corn in her left, pearl rim. 228–231. Roman Empire. Rome. Coin. Diameter 18.5–19.0 mm. Weight 2.85 g., A round, worn metal coin with a dark gray and brown patina shows a raised central figure standing and holding a long staff in one hand and a smaller object in the other; the figure appears draped in a robe and wears a headpiece. The coin edge is irregular and slightly raised, with areas of lighter gray highlighting the relief. The background around the coin is plain white.
