Reverse: Emperor in military dress standing straight, head turned left, holding a ball in his right hand and a spear in his left; legend PMTRPIII COSPP. Roman Empire, Rome, 224. Coin: diameter 17.5–19.0 mm, weight 2.70 g., A circular metallic coin with a worn textured surface showing a raised profile of a person facing right, with short hair and a laurel or similar headband; the coin displays a raised rim and a ring of shallow marks around the portrait. The visible colors are silver-gray with subtle darker gray toning and small areas of pale greenish discoloration.
