Bust of Alexander Severus right with laurel wreath and paludamentum, pearl rim. Reverse: PMTRPIII COSPP. Naked Jupiter in a cloak stands facing, head turned left, holding a thunderbolt in his right hand and a spear in his left; pearl rim. Date: 224. Roman Empire 27 BC–476. Place of origin: Rome. Object type: coin. Diameter: 18.0–19.0 mm. Weight: 3.36 g., A round, worn coin with a raised edge and a central embossed figure of a standing person holding objects in each hand; the figure appears in profile with visible limbs and drapery-like details. The coin surface shows textured, irregular wear and shallow relief lines around the rim. The visible colors are shades of gray and silver with darker gray in recessed areas and lighter silver on raised surfaces.
