Rev.: PONTIF MAX TR P II COS PP; in the section SC — Providentia stands upright, head turned left, holding a baton in her right hand and a cornucopia leaning against a column in her left; at her feet a sphere; pearl surround. 223 CE, Roman Empire; Rome; coin; diameter 28.5–29.0 mm; weight 19.60 g., A round, worn coin with a brown, mottled surface and darker brown-green spots, showing a standing human figure in low relief near the center with indistinct details; the coin edge is irregular with a visible nick on one side and a shallow rim around the perimeter; the background is plain white.
