Bust of Alexander Severus with laurel wreath and paludamentum facing right; pearl rim. Reverse: PMTRPII COSPP. Salus sits on a throne facing left; in her right hand she holds a patera from which she feeds a snake coiled around the altar, her left elbow rests on the back of the throne; pearl rim. 222, Rome; Roman Empire 27 BC–476. Coin; diameter 17.0–18.0 mm; weight 2.68 g., A round metallic coin with a worn surface showing a raised profile of a person facing right, with textured hair and a draped garment; the coin appears in shades of gray and silver with some darker gray areas and slight brownish discoloration along parts of the edge.
