Sestertius of Alexander Severus reigned 222–235. Obverse: Bust of Alexander Severus wearing a laurel wreath, armor and paludamentum, facing right; legend IMPCMAVRSEVALEXANDAVG; pearl border. Reverse: SALVS PVBLICA with SC in the exergue; Salus seated facing left, holding a patera feeding a snake coiled on an altar, left hand on the backrest; pearl border. Bronze coin, 231–235 CE, Rome; diameter ~29–30 mm, weight 14.86 g., A round, flat object with a rough, textured surface showing a few irregular indentations and raised areas, primarily dark brown with patches of reddish-brown and hints of black; the edge is uneven and worn, and there is a visible split near the bottom edge creating a small gap.
