Sestertius, Elagabalus Roman emperor 218–222. Obverse: Draped bust of Julia Maesa facing right, pearl border; legend IVLIAMAESAAVG. Reverse: Felicitas stands facing left, holding a patera above a burning altar in her right hand and a long caduceus in her left; star in right field, letters SC on either side of altar; pearl border; legend SAECVLI FELICITAS or SAECVLIFE LICITAS. Date: 218–223. Roman coin struck in Rome. Bronze; diameter ~32–33 mm, weight 23.50 g., A round, weathered coin with a raised profile of a person facing right, showing the head, neck, and part of the shoulder; the surface is rough and mottled with visible patches of green and dark brown patina, with lighter green speckling across the relief and rim; the coin edge is uneven and worn, and the background around the profile shares the same textured green and brown coloration.
