Denarius, Elagabalus Roman emperor 218–222. Obverse: IVLIA MAESA AVG — Draped bust of Julia Maesa facing right, pearl border. Reverse: SAECVLI FELICITAS — Felicitas standing left; in her right hand a patera held above a burning altar, in her left a long caduceus; star in right field, pearl border. Rome; 218–223; Roman Empire. Coin; diameter 17.0–19.0 mm; weight 2.52 g., A round metallic coin with a worn surface showing a raised profile of a person facing right; the figure has short hair and a visible ear and neck, and is depicted wearing draped clothing. The coin's edge is irregular and slightly dented in places, and the surface shows areas of darker and lighter gray with some subtle brownish patina. The background is plain white.
