Denarius, Elagabalus Roman emperor 218–222. Obverse: IVLIA MAESA AVG — Draped bust of Julia Maesa facing right, pearl rim. Reverse: SAECVLI FELICITAS — Felicitas standing left, holding a patera above a burning altar in her right hand and a long caduceus in her left; star in right field, pearl rim. Date: 218–223. Place of origin: Rome. Medium: coin. Diameter: 18.0–18.5 mm. Weight: 3.40 g., A round dark gray coin with a slightly irregular edge is shown against a white background; the coin surface has a worn, metallic texture and lighter gray highlights on raised areas. In the center of the coin there is a low-relief figure of a standing person draped in robes, holding an object in one hand and a long staff or spear in the other, with a small raised pedestal or object near their feet. Around the rim of the coin are raised decorative markings following the circular edge. The visible colors are dark gray, lighter gray highlights, and white in the background.
