Obverse: male bust in armour in profile to the right; short hair, long pointed beard with sideburns; rim inscription beginning with a trefoil: ALBERDG MAR BRAN DVX PRVSS; pearl border, plant motifs between words. Reverse: pearl border with six-line inscription: -III-/.GROSS:AR:/.TRIPLEX./.ALBER:DVC./.PRVSSIE./-I544-; denomination and date between trefoil marks. Date: 1544. Place: Ducal Prussia 1525–1701, Königsberg mint. Coin; diameter 21.1 mm; weight 2.55 g; axis 50°., A circular metal coin with a worn, textured surface showing a raised profile of a bearded man facing right; the man has a pronounced ear, short hair, detailed beard, and a layered collar or garment around his neck. The coin's edge is raised and uneven with decorative ridging, and there are faint raised markings around the portrait following the coin's rim. The visible colors are shades of grey, silver, dark grey, and a few areas of darker patina.
