Obverse: male bust in armour in profile turned to the right; short hair, long beard with sideburns. In the rim an inscription beginning with a trefoil: -ALBER DG MAR BRAN DVX PRVSS; pearl border, floral motifs between the words. Reverse: in the pearl border an inscription in six lines: -III-.GROSS:AR:/.TRIPLEX./.ALBER:DVC./.PRVSSIE./-I54Z-; the denomination and date are between the trefoil marks. 1542. Ducal Prussia 1525–1701, Königsberg mint. Coin; diameter 21.2 mm; weight 2.71 g; axis 30°., A round metallic coin with a raised profile of a bearded man facing right, showing textured hair and a long beard; the man wears a layered collar or garment with carved lines. The coin surface is silver-gray with darker gray recessed areas and highlights on raised edges. There is a raised decorative border around the rim and a ring of raised characters or symbols encircling the portrait, all on a plain white background.
