A set of two Buddhist texts — Collected Instructions on Refuge in the Three Jewels Tib. 'dri nang chos spyod mdor bsus dang / skyabs 'gro'i lo rgyus cung Tad go bter bkod pa bzhugs so and Tib. skyabs 'gro'i lo rgyus mdor bsdus bzhugs swo, creator unknown, possibly with personal entries/graphic artist, noted. Tibetan Buddhist book in the pecha style, xylographic print in the student script dbu can. Two texts: first 13 folios, leaf numbering 2–13 recto, first verso; second 11 folios incomplete, leaf numbering 2–11 recto, first verso. Underlining in red ink on folios 1 verso, 2 recto and verso, 3 recto and verso, 7 verso, 8 recto, 11 recto, 13 recto, 14 verso. 19th century, Tibet. Graphics. Width 27.5 cm, height 8.0 cm., A horizontal image of two aged rectangular pages laid one above the other against a dark background, each page showing a centered framed block of dense handwritten script surrounded by margins; the paper is off-white to yellowed with visible stains and small smudges, and the ink is dark brown to black with slight unevenness and fading in places; there are a few reddish spots and a few darker brown spots near the centers and edges, and a few creases and worn edges on the pages; thin black border lines frame each block of script, and small marginal marks appear near the left and right sides; overall colors visible include off-white, yellowed beige, dark brown to black ink, reddish stains, and a dark gray to black background.
