A set of two Buddhist texts — Collected Instructions on Refuge in the Three Jewels Tib. Two texts: first 13 folios, leaf numbering 2–13 recto, first verso; second 11 folios incomplete, leaf numbering 2–11 recto, first verso. Underlining in red ink on folios 1 verso, 2 recto and verso, 3 recto and verso, 7 verso, 8 recto, 11 recto, 13 recto, 14 verso. 19th century, Tibet; graphics; width 27.5 cm, height 8.0 cm., A rectangular open book spread is shown against a dark background, with two horizontal cream-colored pages containing framed blocks of handwritten script. The top page has a bordered rectangular text block centered with a narrow blank margin on each side and the inked characters appear in dark gray to black. The lower page mirrors the layout with a similar bordered text block and a narrow margin, and within the lower block a short horizontal streak of red pigment contrasts with the predominantly dark gray ink. The paper shows slight age discoloration with pale yellow and beige tones and the outer edges of the book have subtle brown wear. The overall palette includes cream, beige, pale yellow, dark gray to black ink, brown on the edges, and a small area of red.
