Original text from the 15th century; this object 19th century, Tibet. Graphics, width 24.6 cm, height 8.0 cm, A worn rectangular manuscript page lies flat against a dark background, showing two horizontal panels separated by a fold. The page surface is an aged beige with mottled brown and tan staining, and the edges are darker and frayed. Each panel is framed by a thin darker border and filled with dense rows of short vertical and horizontal marks arranged in lines. Inked marks appear in a dark brown to black color, with some areas more faded to a grayish tone. The paper shows creases, small tears, and areas of discoloration including spots of darker brown and lighter almost yellowed patches, and a few smudges where the ink has blurred. The overall palette includes beige, tan, brown, dark brown, black, gray, and yellowed tones.
