Buddhist manuscript page, unknown scribe-copyist, Tibetan Buddhist art; Page from a Tibetan pecha-type text in ume dbu med and disciple dbu can scripts. Page numbered 1 on the recto. Numerous corrections and rather careless handwriting indicate it may be a practice page. 19th century, Tibet; manuscript; height 29.5 cm, width 7.9 cm., A rectangular strip of aged paper with a pale cream to off-white surface lying on a dark brown background, showing a few small darker smudges and spots across its face and along the edges, with slightly rounded and creased corners and a small folded area at one end; a faint circular red mark near one corner and several tiny black ink spots near the opposite edge are visible, and the paper shows subtle variations in tone with areas of light yellowing and faint grayish impressions.
