Decoration painted with red lacquer with accents of yellow and purple-brown lacquer. Mid-20th century retouching. Chinese; plant and geometric-plant ornament. Height 39.7 cm; length 58.5 cm; width 11.5 cm; base width 15.0 cm., A long, narrow object viewed from above with a glossy black central body and decorative end sections that feature reddish-brown ornamental patterns and accents in a golden-beige tone; the ends flare slightly and sit on a pair of short supports that share the same black, reddish-brown, and golden-beige decorative motif, all set against a muted grey background.
