Polychrome in red, pink, yellow, white and black. 19th century, India; vessel; height 50.0 cm, diameter 13.0 cm, weight 5.75 kg., A decorative vessel with a rounded body that tapers to a narrow base and rises to a flared neck, featuring a metallic surface with ornate painted scenes and patterns. The vessel displays a dominant red background with gold and bronze metallic areas and detailed painted figures and floral motifs in darker tones. There are a few round medallion-like panels around the body each containing small human figures, and several bands of repeating ornamental designs encircle the neck and base. The surface shows fine linework and leaf-like patterns in metallic gold and bronze, with accents of black and subtle darker reds. The overall palette includes red, gold, bronze, black, and hints of darker brown.
