Zun-type vase, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century, ceremonial ritual vessel decorated with taotie iconography, height 33.0 cm, diameter 23.8 cm., A pedestal-like object with a flared top and a narrower cylindrical midsection decorated all over with a group of small hanging rings; the surface of the object shows a weathered, metallic look with tones of greenish patina, dull brown, dark gray, and hints of black, sitting on a smooth reflective surface that mirrors its base against a light gray background.
