Decoration is underglaze painted with cobalt. The stopper and flask are decorated with cracklework. 19th century, China, vessel; height 6 cm, diameter 4 cm., A small ceramic jar with a rounded body and a fitted lid sits against a plain gray background, showing a crackled off-white glaze with a pattern of fine tan crack lines and a painted blue floral or abstract motif on one side; the lid is similarly off-white with crackling and a small blue brushmark, and the jar's surface reflects slightly on the glossy surface beneath it.
