Teapot with a profiled foot and neck, with a rectangular lid topped with a plastic figurine of a lion. Decorated with panels filled with a motif of a blossoming plum tree and birds, bordered with plant twigs the motif in the panels is engraved and set with metal. Foot, neck and cap decorated with plant ornament powdered background. 19th century, China, vessel; height 27.3 cm, width 11.5 cm, depth 8.3 cm., A tall rectangular ornate container with a stepped base and a tiered lid topped by a small sculpted figure, rendered in metallic silver tones with areas of muted gold and pale green; the sides show decorative panels with floral and foliate motifs and scrolling patterns in silver and gold, and the lid and base carry complementary engraved ornamentation in silver; the overall colors visible are silver, gold, pale green, and neutral gray.
