Incense burner, Chinese; censer with leiwen and meander ornament; ritual/ceremonial vessel with two handles; Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 17th century ; vessel; height 12.6 cm, width 10.9 cm, diameter 8.2 cm; China., A small cylindrical metal container stands on a reflective surface, showing a dark brown to black patina with areas of lighter brown highlights; the container has a slightly flared rim, several horizontal raised bands encircling its body, and a textured surface of repeating geometric diamond patterns between the bands; a vertical strap runs down the front and is attached near the rim with a small ornate element, and the base rests on three short decorative feet with curled shapes; the interior appears darker and rougher in texture, and the background is a smooth pale gray.
