Fangding incense burner, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 18th century. Bronze vessel fangding standing on four cylindrical legs; ceremonial/ritual function. Decorations: meander and leiwen ornaments, taotie iconography. Dimensions: height 15.3 cm, width 13.1 cm, depth 10.3 cm., An object resembling a small rectangular bronze vessel with a greenish interior patina sits on three cylindrical legs; the exterior surface shows a dark brown bronze color with decorative raised patterns on the front panel, and the top corners have upward-facing short vertical projections.
