Fangding incense burner, Narozno Eckersdorf, Chinese art; fangding vessel; Chinese; ceremonial/ritual vessel; meander and leiwen ornament, taotie iconography; Qing dynasty 1644–1911; vessel standing on four cylindrical legs; 18th century; China; height 15.3 cm, width 13.1 cm, depth 10.3 cm., A small bronze vessel with a rectangular body and a shallow interior sits on three cylindrical legs; the body has a raised decorative band with stylized carved motifs and rounded bosses, and short vertical projections at two opposite corners above the rim. The interior surface shows a greenish patina while the exterior bronze ranges from dark brown to reddish-brown with subtle greenish corrosion in places, and the background is a neutral light gray.
