Ding incense burner, Chinese, ding vessel; ceremonial/ritual vessel with leiwen and meander ornament, dragons; Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century, China; vessel; height 12.8 cm, diameter 10.5 cm., A small rounded metal vessel with two vertical handles projecting above its rim stands on three curved legs; the body shows an incised decorative band with geometric and stylized animal motifs around its upper portion, and the legs have sculpted animal-head forms with traces of green and brown patina; the metal surface displays shades of dark brown and bronze with areas of lighter greenish corrosion, and the vessel sits on a reflective pale gray surface against a neutral light gray background.
