The figure appears to be captured in motion with a raised front limb and a bent rear limb, both ending in rounded feet. The surface of the sculpture is smooth in places and textured with carved, concentric wave-like patterns on the head and mane. Small pointed protrusions decorate parts of the back and limbs. Visible colors in the image include black and dark brown on the sculpture and several shades of gray in the background and surface beneath the object.
