Vase, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911. Gilded bronze on the base and neck. Shoulders with two gilded-bronze winged-dragon figurines and a snake figurine. Underglaze engraved belly decoration with transparent greenish glaze showing plant-floral tendrils. Decorative vessel featuring dragons, snakes, and plant ornaments. 19th century, China. Height 45.7 cm., A pale greenish-white ceramic vase with a bulbous body and narrow neck sits on an ornate golden metal stand; the vase surface shows subtle raised swirling patterns and a few small dark specks. The neck of the vase is fitted with a decorative golden metal collar and a removable rim piece with a darker inner ring, and two sculpted golden metal bird-like figures with spread wings are attached near the neck, their textured feathers and curved beaks extending outward. The golden stand beneath the vase features an openwork scroll motif and rounded feet, and the overall color palette includes pale greenish-white, gold, and hints of darker metallic tones.
