Material/decoration: Chinese art featuring landscape motifs with staffage, boats, figural scenes, scholars/sages, defensive walls architectural, and swastikas., A rectangular, closed wooden box with a hinged lid sits centered against a neutral gray background; the box is predominantly deep red with areas of darker red and brown patina, and it has black decorative motifs along the corners and edges as well as darker, nearly black floral or cloud-like shapes on the top surfaces, with small worn spots revealing lighter wood tones and a few scuffed edges.
