Head of Guanyin Bodhisattva, sculptor unknown. Polychrome-coated feldspar fragment of a statue with a cube-shaped base of dark red marble. Chinese; Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century. Iconography: Guanyin. Sculpture; height 26.0 cm., A fragmentary stone sculpture of a human profile mounted on a polished rectangular red and dark marbled base, the stone showing rough, weathered surfaces with brown, tan, gray, and black tones while the carved facial area is smoother and beige, set against a gradient dark gray to light gray background.
