Small screen on a base, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911. Pale green jadeite small screen with oval cross-section, engraved with a composition of pine, grass, lingzhi mushrooms on rocks; at the top a crescent with the inscription yue. Wooden elongated base tapering on the shorter side, on four short legs one broken; bulging side inlaid with silver wire. 18th–19th century. Sculpture; screen. Dimensions: screen height 14.3 cm, width 9.1 cm; base height 8.7 cm, width 4.7 cm., A smooth, pale object with a glossy surface rests near the bottom center of the image, showing shades of white, cream, and pale green with subtle translucent areas and soft curved contours; it casts a diffuse shadow to the left on a light gray surface, and the background transitions from light gray near the bottom to darker gray and bluish-gray toward the top.
