Teapot, Tibetan, 19th century. Jug with a lid on a chain; dragon-shaped handle, spout probably in the shape of a makara. Decorated with dragons, makaras, and lotuses. Repoussé copper sheet, tin-plated inside, bronze-plated outside, patinated; silver-plated in sections. Repoussé spout and handle in low relief with inlaid eyes and copper rivets. Cover topped with a lotus bud. Lhasa. Vessel. Height 25.5 cm; width 31.0 cm; diameter 19.3 cm; weight 0.85 kg., A golden metal vessel with a rounded body and flared neck sits center-right, showing a reflective, slightly worn surface in gold and hints of darker patina; it has an ornate handle shaped like a stylized animal head and curved body with decorative raised detailing in gold and silver tones, and a spout on the right that resembles an animal head with similar gold and silver ornamentation; a lid with a rounded finial in matching gold sits to the left, connected to the vessel by a short metal chain in a darker metallic tone; the background is a smooth, light gray.
