Ritual vessel, Burmese, 19th/20th century. Tray with a fluted surface showing a visible bamboo weaving pattern; made of bamboo covered with black lacquer on the bottom. Profiled legs covered with red lacquer. Overall good condition with local abrasions and cracks in the lacquer layers; many local cracks and lacquer losses on the bottom. Vessel, height 15.5 cm, diameter 44.5 cm., A low wooden stand with a round dark top and a textured black underside rests on a group of reddish-brown carved legs and supports; the top edge shows a thin band of dark brown, the underside surface has a rough patterned texture, and the wooden legs exhibit worn reddish-brown paint with visible chips and exposed wood, all set against a neutral gray background with subtle reflections on a smooth surface below.
