Profiled legs covered with red lacquer. Overall good condition; local abrasions and cracks in the lacquer layers, many local cracks and lacquer losses on the bottom. 19th/20th century, Burma Myanmar. Vessel; height 15.5 cm, diameter 44.5 cm., A low round wooden stand with a shallow rim sits against a neutral background, showing a worn dark top edge and an inner surface with muted reddish-brown tones; the sides beneath the rim display a textured dark finish with areas of wear revealing reddish-brown wood. The stand rests on a group of short carved legs and small supporting brackets with visible tool marks and chipped edges, all in shades of reddish-brown and darkened spots. The background is a uniform gray and the surface beneath the stand reflects the bottom of the legs faintly.
