Ga'u box, gift, Himalayan Tibetan Buddhist amulet/ceremonial container, 19th/20th century, Tibet; materials: jewelry/amulet; height 19 cm, width 8.5 cm, depth 2.3 cm., A rectangular metallic pendant with ornate engraved patterns and raised borders, featuring decorative round and teardrop cabochon stones in shades of green and turquoise set into the metal; a central round green stone is surrounded by embossed floral-like motifs, with several small turquoise-green stones arranged along the top and bottom edges and at corners; the metal shows a patinated silver-gray and bronze tone, with darker shadowed areas and small highlights; above the main pendant a small elongated metal plate with a single small round red bead is attached to a hooked suspender in a brass-like color.
