Subjects: scrolls, calligraphy, Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, monks, Daruma mythology; weapons—bladed weapons, swords, katana, sword crossguards., A flat, rounded object with a scalloped edge sits against a pale gray background; the object is primarily brown with areas of darker and lighter brown patina and faint whitish scratch marks, showing a central elongated opening and a couple of small round holes near one edge, along with subtle engraved curving lines and decorative motifs on one side.
