Chinese ceramics., A round porcelain plate with a pale gray background shows a central painted scene of a group of figures in traditional clothing amid stylized rocks and architectural elements; the figures wear garments in colors including green, blue, purple, orange, yellow, and red, with one figure seated on a carved chair and others standing or kneeling, some holding handheld objects. Surrounding the central scene is an ornate border of floral and bird motifs rendered in green, purple, blue, orange, yellow, and white, with several cloud-shaped cartouches containing small floral sprigs and birds, and a thin gilded rim around the plate edge.
