Vase with two handles, maker, ; Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911; porcelain fragment with white transparent glaze; decorated with overglaze enamel paints and iron red; inscriptions; lion iconography; figural scenes including images of women; colored porcelain; 19th century, China; vessel; height 28.5 cm, width 15.2 cm, depth 11.5 cm, weight 1.75 kg, A tall, rectangular porcelain vase with a flared rim and a pale off-white background, decorated with a painted figure of a woman wearing layered robes in shades of pink, blue, green, and yellow, standing on stylized cloud motifs in pastel tones of pink, blue, yellow, and green; the woman has dark hair styled up with a small floral ornament and a pale face with subtle features, and she holds a small rounded object; a column of vertical calligraphic marks appears above her on the upper section of the vase, accompanied by a couple of small red seals, and there are decorative sculpted handles on the sides in a reddish-brown color; the rim shows a thin band of yellowish-gold, and the vase sits on a reflective grey surface against a neutral grey background.
